Pacific Heights Montessori Children's Centre is owned and operated by Margo Bozena Trot and was first opened in July 2002. With 30 years of experience working with children, Mrs. Margo operates a childcare facility which promotes quality of life and embraces a wide variety of individual needs in a child. As an Early Childhood Educator with Montessori training she believes that a strong start to learning in early childhood is fundamental to a good start in school and in life. As a mother of her own two grown children she tries to bring her own experience, passion and love to her work.
Pacific Montessori Children's Centre is fully licensed and undergoes yearly Inspections. Please visit www.healthspace.ca to view the daycare's inspection history.
Margo is a trained Montessori Early Childhood Educator with 30 years of experience who attends various educational workshops throughout the year.
The daycare enrolls both full-time and part-time children from 30 months to 6 years of age.
The centre is located in beautiful Fraser Heights. There are 3 great elementary schools nearby: Fraser Wood Elementary, Erma Stephenson Elementary, and Dogwood Elementary.
Pacific Heights Montessori Children's Centre believes that it is essential to provide a nurturing environment for children as well as a support system for families. The centre provides a loving and supportive atmosphere in a caring and enriching environment, where the individual needs for the social, physical, intellectual, creative, and emotional development of each child (SPICE) are met. At Pacific Heights Children's Centre, the children will be encouraged to establish a positive self concept and will be provided with opportunities for active participation through play and work and positive interaction with peers, adults, and the environment.
The greatest sign of success for a teacher... is to be able to say, 'The children are now working as if I did not exist.' - Dr.Maria Montessori
The childcare centre program provides experiences that meet the needs of the children and stimulate learning in all developmental areas.
Each child is a unique person, with an individual pattern and timing in growth and development. The curriculum and adult guidance are responsive to individual differences in ability and interests. Different levels of ability, development, and learning styles are expected, accepted, and used to design appropriate activities.
Interactions and activities are designed to develop the children's self esteem and positive feelings towards learning.
